What is Bumble and Bumble?

In 1977, Bumble & Bumble started off as an extraordinary, progressive little salon in New York City. Stylists from around the world were attracted to Bumble and Bumble to work, learn, and teach techniques to their fellow stylists.
Over time, the stylists found a need for products to use editorially (think runway shows, fashion shoots) that simply didn’t exist at the time. Keeping in line with the creative culture of Bumble, the first product, Brilliantine, was born and revealed in 1990. Bumble soon began to introduce it carefully to selected salons and stylists who had respect for the craft, and who aspired to achieve excellence in hairdressing.
Today, that group is the Bumble and Bumble Network - a collective of independent salons and stores that sell their products, and share their vision. The members attend BBU, an institute for higher learning and center for the art and commerce of hairdressing culture.
Bumble and Bumble is about change and modernity. To this day, they reject hair shows, revere hair heroes, cultivate creativity, and foster disciplined rebellion. Above all, they are deeply, passionately, and fearlessly dedicated to the craft of hairdressing.
Here at Spruce, that is why we proudly carry Bumble and Bumble - more than just a superior hair product line.
